Nancy Upton Takes On American Apparel's "Next Big Thing"

Hands down the most interesting contestant in the American Apparel "Next Big Thing" search is Nancy Upton. Annoyed with its condescending tone, Nancy entered the contest using this photo:

The accompanying caption reads: "I'm a size 12. I just can't stop eating."

There are more images at her Tumblr, ExtraWiggleRoom. The intent of the the photos are to satirize American Apparel's treatment of curvy women; Nancy told the Huffington Post: "It's a dig on American Apparel's current tone and past policy. It's certainly not meant to be offensive towards plus size women." Does anyone think she went too far?
